Rajath Kumar

I am currently a Master’s Student in Electrical Engineering with concentration in Data-Driven Analysis and Computation at Columbia University, New York City. I study speech and deep learning. At Columbia, I am working under Prof. Nima Mesgarani on source separation. I spent my Summer 2018 as an Applied Scientist Intern at Amazon Alexa Speech – Wakeword Science Team. Previously, I was associated with Learning and Extraction of Acoustic Patterns Lab, Indian Institute of Science under Prof. Sriram Ganapathy where I worked on Text Dependent Speaker Verification and Wake-Up-Word Keyword Spotting. In the past, I have worked on hyperspectral image compression, detection and localisation of landmines involving clutter reduction.
